ABOUT GYMNAESTRADA
Gymnaestrada gives the opportunity for gymnasts to perform in a non-competitive environment while capturing the true essence of the "Gymnastics for All" and "Active for Life" philosophies of sport and recreation.
Gymnaestrada routines consist of a large group of participants ages 9 and up. Routines are made to explore and push the boundaries of gymnastics and gives the opportunity for gymnasts to travel national and internationally!
Canadian and World Gymnaestradas are held every 4 years.
TEAM PIROUETTE
Pirouette RG sent a team of 17 gymnasts, 2 coaches/manager and 3 chaperones/supporters to the 2023 FIG World Gymnaestrada this past summer in Amsterdam, Netherlands. After their successful performances in Edmonton, they earned a spot in the 2023 World Gymnaestrada in Amsterdam. Pirouette was also 1 of 3 Canadian teams selected to perform at the PAGU National Evening in Amsterdam. We are very proud and honoured to have represented Canada at worlds! Go #teampirouette!!!
Pirouette RG has represented Team Canada at 5 World Gymnaestradas (Berlin 1995, Lisbon 2003, Dornbirn 2007 and Helsinki 2015, Amsterdam 2023) and numerous National and Provincial Gymnaestradas.
